URGENTLY needed supplies- delivered DIRECTLY to Ukrainian people and institutions

Here you support a special initiative.

Direct Aid Ukraine is a private initiative of committed people from Saxony and Baden-Württemberg and their Ukrainian business partners.

Our business partners in Ivano-Frankivsk (Gazoanalitychni Systemy Ltd.) and Kyiv (Infra-Spectr) use their networks to inquire about urgently needed items from hospitals, aid organizations and municipal institutions. In addition, we also support a defense unit of volunteers with our relief supplies. Their base is in Kyiv, their area of operations is currently in a front section near Kharkiv.

The requested relief supplies are summarized in lists and sent to us. After receiving the lists, we coordinate in video conferences who in our team is responsible for which items regarding procurement.

All donations that we receive are always used immediately for the procurement of requested relief supplies. We usually pay in advance with private funds in order to be able to deliver quickly. Because it is not uncommon for our relief supplies to help save lives in the war zones.

Important:

 – Our administration costs are 0.00 euros, as we and our supporters cover them ourselves

 – Every donated cent is guaranteed to be invested in the purchase of relief supplies

The collection point for all items purchased in Germany/ Europe is in Radebeul. There, the aid supplies are recorded for customs declaration and packaged for delivery. Once all required supplies have been obtained, the customs lists are translated into Ukrainian and the transport to Ivano-Frankivsk or Kyiv is organized. From there, the goods are then forwarded to the destinations within Ukraine.

Thus, we deliver specific relief supplies to individual recipients according to their needs.

Our relief supplies can be divided into three categories: civil protection items, communication technology, basic medical supplies and equipment. The selection and procurement of medical supplies is carried out by medical professionals who are part of our team.

At this point we ask you to support us financially and with medical donations of goods.

Many of you have already donated in a variety of ways – several times.

It is therefore becoming increasingly difficult for us to continue to receive donations.

That’s why we developed an alternative idea – the ‘Subscription Donation‘.

So we are now trying to win over many people who send us a smaller amount of 5 … 20 euros per month. So that this remains clear for you, you can of course limit the duration of the subscription donation to six, nine or twelve months.

A personal experience got things rolling:

On the evening of February 23, 2022, we sat with our Ukrainian business partners in a restaurant in Dresden to celebrate the successful start of a new project.

When we said goodbye the next morning, however, we knew that nothing would come of it, there was war in Ukraine. We spontaneously offered our guests to help them and their families escape from the war zone. But they said: No, we stay. We must defend our homeland. But you can help us with that. Procure the supplies we need most urgently and do it quickly and unbureaucratically.

A few days later, the first multi-page list of requirements arrived by e-mail, a compilation of material and equipment requests from hospitals, charities and municipal institutions. Nothing on the list was easy to get – we had feared that. alto start with, we did not understand the medical terms. Luckily, our company’s team of doctors promised us quick help and took over the procurement of the medical supplies.

Now it was a matter of purchasing the required items as quickly as possible. We privately paid for the first lot of items. A donation account was hastily set up at the local bank. An email appeal for help to colleagues asked them for support in the form of monetary donations.

So, during the first week of the Ukraine invasion we began to amass things that we had never heard of before. The last packages arrived in Radebeul on Sunday morning (March 3, 2022 (Sunday morning was the sixth of March)). The delivery lists were completed, sent to Ivano-Frankivsk for translation, printed out on return and the packages were prepared for customs. At around 3:00 p.m., the first delivery left by mini-van towards Ukraine. Behind the Polish border, the handover took place to a confidant of our Ukrainian partner, who brought the cargo to the Ukrainian border. — This is how our private initiative “Direct Aid Ukraine” started off.
