Gratitude from Medical Service of the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Following are the words of Volodymyr (combat medic at the front – see the pictures). They come from a video that was made parallel to the pictures:
“We thank our german partners and supporters for such a brilliant device (the defibrillator; remark Jörg T.).
Now (19.June 2023; remark Jörg T.) we will charge it and tomorrow we will take it with us in our „Hummer“ (this is how they call their armored evacuation vehicle; remark Jörg T.) for combat duty. We’ll place it there in the right hand corner.
Everything will be good.
And again thank you very much!
Glory to Ukraine!“
A ‘Thank You’ from the front line in eastern Ukraine
Translation of the picture text:
“We, the medical unit of the 45th Separate
Infantry Battalion, are grateful to
Direkthilfe-Ukraine for your help to our unit
in the form of 100 high-quality tourniquets**
which will save the lives of our soldiers.
Thank you so much.“
** There are tourniquets of various qualities on the market. Together with our Ukrainian partners and the experience of the fighters at the front, we found out that only a certain type make works reliably under difficult conditions.
A thank you from the Regional Children's Hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk (March 2023)
The Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children’s Hospital asked us about feeding tubes for premature and newborn babies and electronic oxygen sensors (to monitor the oxygen concentration in the blood). We were able to fulfill both requests and supplied 500 feeding tubes and 300 oxygen sensors, among other medical supplies.
We received some pictures from the hospital from Roman with the following email text:

Dear Holger,
today I’ve got few exclusive photos from our Regional Children’s Hospital with items in use, which were granted by Direkhilfe Ukraine e.V.
As you can see, you contribution is aimed for the smallest patients and is highly valuable.
Besides that Direkthilfe Ukraine e.V. is mentioned on the honor board of the Hospital among charity organizations which has been helping during these hard times.
It’s a honor for the Hospital to have such reliable and responsive friends as all of you ladies and gentlemen representing Dirtekthilfe Ukraine e.V.
You can use all these photos on your website in marketing purposes.
On behalf of doctors from the Hospital I would like express my deepest gratitude for your charity actions.
Kind regards,

Here’s a thank you from the nephew of one of our Ukrainian partner companies‘ employees, who is on the frontline in eastern Ukraine in the medical service. On the box are some of the medical supplies we sent.
On the cardboard sign in the background is written in German: „Many thanks to Direkthilfe Ukraine e.V. for the support“.

Explanation for the cat-masks:
For security reasons we have to blur the faces of the fighters in the photos. In Ukraine, in the current situation of the defending war, there are used cat-masks instead of bluring faces. The background is, that the defenders in Ukraine are commonly called as ‘Our Cats’ – as a symbol of the strength of lions, panthers and tigers.

Translation: Paramedics from the 45th Rifle Battalion are very grateful for the infusion solutions and warming blankets.
From Dr. Artem Kobirnitschenko
This urological instrument was very difficult to obtain. We found it in eastern Turkey. More than 2 months passed before it was finally with us and finally in the hands of the surgeon.
After arriving in Kyiv, it was immediately used for an operation that had been postponed until then. –> see letter of thanks from Dr.Artem Korbinitschenko:

Holger Neumann:
The medical ultrasound device from the Emmendingen hospital has now arrived undamaged at its final destination, the „Institute of Urology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine“ in Kyiv, and is ready for use again.
The staff of the completely destroyed military hospital in Irpin was transferred to the Kiev hospital as a department.
Not all medical equipment could be secured from the bombing, so this shipment was very useful, see Roman’s comment + acknowledgments below.
from Roman Savuliak:
… the ultrasound device from your 4th delivery was delivered to Kyiv to Hospital of Urological Institute of N.A.M.N..
These days Military Hospital from Irpin has moved to the premises of this one and the ultrasound apparatus granted by Direkthilfe Ukraine e.V. is in constant use by the doctors of Irpin Military Hospital.
Military Hospital from Irpin was made to move out because it’s buildings were completely destroyed during russian attacks on Kyiv city.
They asked us to convey the words of sincere gratitude to you for your solidarity and help. — Find please photo attached.
Kind regards,
Roman Savuliak

J. Tretner: This information came from R. Savuliak via Whatsapp. The picture shows that part of our medical supplies this time are going to Kramatorsk, where the day before yesterday the train station was the target of the Russian attack, 57 people were killed and now the hospital is certainly at its limit in many respects.
The sign says:

Kramatorsk
Yaroslav (and maybe a phone number)
